How does Billy Splittr work?

Upload a receipt photo or manually add items. Then add the people who are splitting the bill and assign each item to whoever ordered it. Items can be split evenly among everyone, assigned to one person, or split in half between two people. Click calculate and you'll see exactly what each person owes!

Is my data stored anywhere?

No! Your data stays in your browser only. Receipt images are processed by AI but never stored. When you close the tab, everything is gone. We use local storage so you can refresh the page without losing progress, but clearing your browser data removes it completely.

What if the receipt scan isn't accurate?

You can edit any item after scanning! Click on the price to change it, use the remove button to delete items, or add missing items manually. The AI does its best but handwritten receipts or poor lighting can cause issues.

Can two people split a single item?

Yes! Use the "Half" button to split an item. This creates two half-priced copies of the item that you can assign to different people. Perfect for sharing appetizers, desserts, or bottles of wine.
